"My name is Nicolás Suárez. I was born on July 17, 1988, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I have been a photographer since 2013, after working as a producer at the magazine 'La Garganta Poderosa'. Through that experience, I discovered that photography is the best medium for me to tell stories and play with time.
I had the opportunity to participate in meetings organized by Carlos Bosch, where I understood the importance of using photography to contribute to memory and human rights through images. A single image or series can become a historical document. I do not share Walter Benjamin's view that no one tells stories anymore.
Furthermore, the workshop experience with photographer Valeria Bellusci in 'Taller en la palma de la mano' allowed me to immerse myself in the practice of photographic essays and confirm Eduardo Grüner's belief that we are what we write. I am what I photograph.

Mi nombre es Nicolás Suárez, nací un 17 de julio de 1988 en Buenos Aires, Argentina. Soy fotógrafo desde el 2013 luego de haber trabajado como productor en la revista "La Garganta Poderosa". Gracias a esa experiencia descubrí que el mejor medio, para mi, para narrar historias y jugar con el tiempo es la fotografía.
Tuve la posibilidad de participar de reuniones que organizaba Carlos Bosch y por él entendí la importancia de poner a disposición de la memoria y los derechos humanos la mirada y la producción de imágenes. Una imagen, o una serie pueden convertirse en documentos históricos. No comparto la posición de Walter Benjamin cuando afirma que ya nadie cuenta historias
Por otro lado, la experiencia del taller de la Fotógrafa Valeria Bellusci "Taller en la palma de la mano" me permitió sumergirme en la practica del ensayo fotográfico y confirmar lo que afirma Eduardo Grüner que somos lo que escribimos. Soy lo que voy fotografiando.
